Medieval town of Koznik
This medieval castle was built at the altitude of 920 m. The city is partially preserved and is put under the protection of the Republic of Serbia as a cultural monument. There are several legends about Koznik, or as the locals called it, Jerina’s City. The best known is that Jerina’s building forced upon such labor that even animals had to pull materials and stone, to this hardly accessible hill. Goats were used for transporting construction materials, which is why, the city was named Koznik.
